Entang Wiharsoresides and works in Yogyakarta, is a part of a strong Surrealism movement in Yogyakarta early 1990s. Entang's works in the recent years lean more to the exploration on figurative forms, and imbued with critics to social political phenomenon, especially those related to the issues of violence and human repression. Entang Wiharso has exhibited in various international museum and institution, and his works have been parts of various publications and public collections.

Nyoman Masriadi, a Balinese artists residing in Yogyakarta, is one of the Indonesian artists that first entered a wider international market. He processes comical images, sometimes surrealist, and providing comments on the daily social political phenomenon. His visual images are also heavily influenced by pop culture, that often he incorporates pop icons into his paintings, with additional satire texts.

Sally Smart is an Australian artists who has spent the last few years in Yogyakarta. The works of Sally Smart explore the possibilities of movement and motion, therefore she is interested in choosing medium that are light and easily moved. On the other hand, the works seem to be displayed on a stage, but she also presents interesting two-dimensional illusion. Her objects are part of a fragmented narrative, and the audience can arranget the narrative according to their own interpretations.

M. Irfan is a West Sumatera artist who graduated from the Indonesian Insitute of Art. He once belonged to Kelompok Jendela artists collective in early 2000s. Irfan's works mostly depict the images of machines as a representation of modernism, like the depictions in the train series. From there, he developed the next series that took off from the same observation toward the construction of modernity; the highway and magnificent bridge series that was a celebration of the developmentalism ideas during the New Order era. Irfan captured the atmosphereof magnificence and sophistication from this kind of technologies through his realist painting technique combined with strong and firm brush strokes.

Oky Rey Montha is a part of the young artist generation whose works are consciously borrowing images and representation style commonly found in comics. He is also interested in surrealist imageries presented through invented characters and events, combined with a background that leans toward realism. The combination between fiction and facts, the real and the imagined, the merry and the bitter, becomes a part of his works identity.
