Since its opening in 2011, Iris – Gallery has positioned itself as one of the most prominent, open minded galleries located in Yogyakarta, renowned as the center of education, art and culture in Indonesia.
Iris – Gallery promote, exhibit and display various fine art works such as; sculpture, painting, installation and unique handicraft and decorations in export quality.
Furthermore Iris – Gallery is licensed (License No: 1054/DP/001/XI/2011) to operate as local and international event organizer and working to promote cultural exchange between the East and the West. We believe that in order to stimulate greater understanding between civilizations it is imperative to break down social barriers and misconceptions. We create and organize memorable cultural events in collaboration with selective media (Press, Radio and Television).
Collaborative events may include:
Art Exhibitions, Dance, Music & Song, Fashion, Festivals
Iris – Gallery draws its inspiration from creating, coordinating, organizing, planning and managing cultural events locally and internationally as platform to promote cultural heritage, the revitalization of traditions and the introducing of new and challenging ideas as it is Iris Gallery's challenge to create a positive impact to the community.
Iris – Gallery is specially promoting youth, female and artists from the LGBT community. Iris – Gallery is proud to be able to give ethnic or cultural minorities the opportunity to raise their profile and give other minority groups a way to validate themselves.
