Lesser known is its founder and director Jasdeep Sandhu's investigations into the Southeast Asian alumni of the art school of Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan, founded by Rabindranath Tagore. Jasdeep will revisit encounters with esteemed individuals from this ashram-turned-university alongside Yin Ker, whose work on Myanmar's Bagyi Aung Soe (another alumnus of Tagore's school) first began at the Gallery. On display will be rare works by Affandi, Bagyi Aung Soe, Nandalal Bose, Meera Mukherjee, Rusli and Ju Peon (Xu Beihong).
