Minimal Art Gallery (MAG) in partnership with REDBASE Foundation Yogyakarta presents a group exhibition titled HOME. In this exhibition, MAG invited artists from Indonesia, Germany, China, and Japan to present their works in a small-scale dimension.
With Minimal Art Gallery (MAG). Platform for Contemporary Art this vision has come true. Yet on an entirely different scale than one would expect. Germany-based artist Suntje Sagerer, Indonesia based artist Franziska Fennert and their collaborators have made this possible by transferring the idea of a vivid international artists's platform into several dollhouse-like structures. If this may sound like a playful and merely funny approach, then we are invited now to see the opposite. Having been assigned personal rooms in the house, all of these artists create installations, paintings, sculptures for it. They meet in a unique way that responds to the alleged connectedness of the digital world on a physical level.
