MONUMENTA: In Lightness features paintings, sculptures and installations of a monumental scale, created by seventeen artists from across Southeast Asia. Serving as a platform to express the possibilites of light and illumination, the works in the exhibition attempt to reveal the significance of luminescence in contemporary life. Pameran Multimedia Interaktif Pameran Multimedia Interaktif "What Makes You Who You Are"   Seniman: Caglar Kimyoncu (London, Inggris)   Pembukaan Pameran: Kamis, 7 Februari 2019, pukul 18.30 WIB   Pameran berlangsung hingga 2 Maret 2019 Galeri buka setiap Selasa – Sabtu, pukul 11.00-18.00 WIB   Padepokan Seni Bagong Kussudiardja (PSBK) kembali berkolaborasi dengan Caglar Kimyoncu (London, Inggris) dalam produksi karya multimedia interaktif bertema 'what makes you who you are' yang akan dibuka pada Kamis, 7 Februari pukul 18.30 WIB di galeri Gedung Damarwulan kompleks PSBK. Pameran yang akan berlangsung hingga 2 Maret ini menampilkan instalasi digital dan video yang diproduksi di PSBK selama residensinya di bulan Januari. Caglar berimprovisasi dengan 3 aktor Yogyakarta untuk menciptakan adegan dalam menggali gagasan 'what makes you who you are'. "Dalam mengerjakan karya, saya lebih tertarik untuk mengajukan pertanyaan daripada memberikan jawaban. Di karya ini, tidak ada karakter tunggal atau satu cerita utuh. Sebaliknya, Anda diundang untuk menyaksikan sisi-sisi yang berbeda dari tokoh dan cerita yang sama. Atau mungkin, Anda sedang melihat diri Anda sendiri di depan cermin." -caglark-   Elemen kreatif lain pada pameran ini adalah eksperimentasi Caglar dalam menggunakan teknologi Augmented Reality (AR). Teknologi ini menawarkan keberadaan access layers  tambahan di ruang virtual meliputi audio descriptions dan captions untuk meningkatkan pengalaman yang lebih inklusif dan aksesibel bagi segala kalangan, terutama bagi masyarakat yang mengalami keterbatasan fisik.     --------- The interactive multi-media exhibition entitled 'what makes you who you are' will open on Thursday, 7 February 2019 at Padepokan Seni Bagong Kussudiardja (PSBK), which will run through 2 March 2019. The central elements of this exhibition presents new digital and video installations by UK artist Caglar Kimyoncu (London, UK) that was recently filmed and edited at PSBK this past January. He improvised with 3 local actors to create scenes and portraits exploring the theme 'what makes you who you are'. "In my work, I'm more interested in asking questions than providing answers. In this work, there aren't single characters or one unified story. Rather, you are being invited to witness different sides of the same people, and different versions of the same stories. Or perhaps you are looking in the mirror." -caglark-   The other creative element of the exhibition is Caglar's experimentation and utilization of Augmented Reality (AR).
