Lecture on Film Archiving

Orlow Suenke will give a lecture on FILM ARCHIVING on 16 January in the Erasmushuis for the INDONESIAN HERITAGE SOCIETY 

He will talk about Film Archiving (in general and in Indonesia).

There will also be an important guest from the UK, Amanda Huntley, the director of the Huntley Film Archives. She will tell how the situation is in Europe and the UK.

We asked the Director General of Culture, Hilmar Farid to come and talk about the plans of the government about Film Archiving.

After 3x 15 minutes talk/presentation  we will have a discussion with the 3 speakers and the audience. Question and answers. Discussion.
We will invite Film makers, film students, production houses, Tv-stations, etc.

The photo that we used is how we found the duplicate negative of an Indonesian film we in the Interstudio Film Lab here in Jakarta.


PS The Heritage Society charges 50.000 Rp (30.000 for students). Press will have free entry.
We took care that there are free food and beverages from 5.30 onwards.
Lecture starts at 7pm on Tuesday.
